Birla Mandir Ayodhya | Vashishtha Kund in Ayodhya

Birla Temple has been constructed by Birla Group of Industries. This is also a Buddha Temple and has a marble statue of Lord Buddha in Bhumi Sparsh Mudra (kneel down posture), a posture showing him touching the earth. A Dharmshala has also been built around the Temple, which provides accommodation to devotees & visitors at very nominal charges. A dormitory has also been built, to provide accommodation to Indian Buddhist tourists at lowest possible charges.

Vashistha Kund is a worth seeing place, situated on the backside of Shri Ram Janm Bhumi area. The temple houses the idol of Guru Vashishtha, flanked by the idols of Ram, Laxman, Bharat & Shatrughna on either side. The upper storey has been developed as Vashishtha Vatika.
