Hanuman Jayanti | Ayodhya

Hanuman Jayanti 2015 date based on Hindu Calendar - India Standard Time. Hanuman Jayanthi is the birthday of Lord Hanuman and it is observed on the full moon (Purnima) day in the Hindu month of Chaitra (March – April) as per traditional lunar Hindu calendar. In 2015, the date of Hanuman Jayanthi is April 4. Lord Hanuman is also known as Bajrang Bali and Anjaneya and is one of the most popular gods in Hinduism. He is a Chiranjeevi – one blessed with immortality.

In Karnataka - Another popular day dedicated to Hanuman is the Hanumantha Vrata observed in Margashirsh month (November - December) in Karnataka and parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telagnana. This is on December 23, 2015

In Orissa, Hanuman Jayanti is observed during Vishubha Sankranti (April 15).

Hanuman Jayanti is also observed some communities during Diwali (November 10, 2015). This is observed on the previous day of Diwali. 

Special prayers and pujas dedicated to Lord Hanuman are performed a day before Diwali in North India and Gujarat. In 2015, the date of Hanuman Puja during Diwali is on November 10. This day is popularly known as Narak Chaturdashi or Kali Chaudash and Roop Chaturdashi or Chaudash. In several regions, the day before Diwali is believed to the birthday of Bajrang Bali Hanuman.
